VUBC Namsai

The Academic Awards are instituted to acknowledge outstanding achievements and to motivate and encourage students to strive for higher standards of performance. These include:

  1. The Best Graduate – Cash and Citation (College)
  2. The Gold Medal Awards – Cash and Citation (College)
  3. The Rank holders of RGU – Cash and Citation (College)
  4. The Best NSS Volunteer – Cash and Citation (College)
  5. The Best Bethanian – Cash and Citation (College)

State Scholarships

APST STIPEND

Stipend is given to the students belonging to the Schedule Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh (APST), strictly in accordance with the government’s decisions communicated from time to time for this purpose. The interested students are to apply for stipend on prescribed forms available in the College Office. The Department of Higher Education is strictly monitoring the eligibility of applicants for stipend. Thus, stipend may be returned in case the candidate fails to fulfill the conditions for stipend. Only those students who attend 75% of classes held in each month are eligible for stipend.

Central Scholarships

  1. Umbrella Scheme: The Umbrella scheme is primarily aimed at students belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, helping them pursue education from classes of 9 to post graduation degrees in colleges across various states in India, including Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
  2. Ishan Uday Special Scholarship Scheme For NER: Ten thousand (10000) Scholarships, at the rate of Rs.8,000/- per month for 10 months in a year, are available for students belonging to economical weaker section of North Eastern Region. 50% of slots under each category are earmarked for Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Management and other 50% are earmarked for Science, Engineering & Technology, medical, technical, agriculture, forestry programmes.
    The selection under the schemes is done purely on the basis of State-wise merit from
    among the candidates who have applied for the scholarship under the scheme, through
    online mode only, on the designated portal, i.e., National Scholarship Portal of Government
    of India.
  3. National Fellowship And Scholarship For Higher Education Of ST Students – Scholarship (Formally Top Class Education For Schedule Tribe Students): National Scholarship Scheme is intended to encourage meritorious ST students to pursue courses at Graduate and Post Graduate level in premier institutes identified by the Ministry in professional fields such as Management, Medicine/Science, Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Law and Social Science etc.  

College Excursions

College excursions are annually planned as study tours for educational and recreational purpose. The students are taken in their final year of study to a distant trip beyond the region. The trips focus on learning outside the classroom, such as visiting historical sights, museums, industrial sites, parks and the seashores.

Some of the sites the students visited are Delhi, Agra, Manali, Solan, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Goa, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune. The former batches have created lifetime memories with college excursions.
