Organizational structure

Venerable Uktara Bethany College (VUBC), Namsai has a well-defined and transparent organizational structure that ensures effective academic administration, optimal utilization of infrastructure, and efficient delivery of teaching–learning processes.

The institution is governed by the Bethany Charitable Trust, which acts as the apex body responsible for policy formulation, strategic planning, and overall institutional governance. The Board of Trustees provides direction and oversight to ensure that academic and administrative practices align with the vision, mission, and quality benchmarks of higher education.

The Principal, as the academic and administrative head of the institution, plays a pivotal role in planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of academic activities. The Principal ensures effective coordination among academic departments, examination systems, and administrative units to facilitate student-centric teaching–learning processes in accordance with university and regulatory norms.

In support of academic administration and evaluation (Criterion II), the Vice Principal assists the Principal in academic coordination, timetable planning, faculty engagement, and student support mechanisms. The Controller of Examinations (COE) is responsible for the smooth conduct of internal and external examinations, assessment, evaluation, and declaration of results, ensuring transparency, confidentiality, and adherence to academic regulations. The COE is supported by the Assistant Controller of Examinations, enabling effective management of examination-related processes.

The Heads of Departments (HODs) function as key academic leaders at the departmental level. They are responsible for curriculum implementation, lesson planning, continuous internal assessment, mentoring of students, and academic monitoring of the Faculty, thereby strengthening the teaching–learning ecosystem of the institution.

The Administrative Staff, assisted by Clerical Staff, facilitate academic documentation, student services, record maintenance, and institutional communication, ensuring smooth academic and administrative functioning.

In alignment with Criterion IV (Infrastructure and Learning Resources), the Administrator oversees the maintenance and optimal utilization of physical infrastructure, classrooms, laboratories, and institutional facilities, supported by the Supporting Staff. The Librarian plays a significant role in providing access to learning resources, including print and digital materials, to support academic activities, research, and self-learning.

Overall, the organizational structure of VUBC, Namsai ensures participative management, academic accountability, effective examination practices, and efficient utilization of infrastructure and learning resources, thereby contributing to quality enhancement in teaching, learning, and evaluation as envisaged under NAAC Criteria II and IV.
